Great quote from Samanta Harris (to the LAT): “Living under a cloud for seven months is not nothing, and it has a chilling effect broadly speaking on faculty’s willingness to express themselves on matters of public concern.”

LA Times covered this development:

https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2024-06-20/usc-drops-complaints-and-clears-professor-who-said-hamas-are-murderers

In particular, the article sheds light on who the miscreants are: "Some of the students who complained against Strauss were assisted by the L.A. office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

“We are disappointed that USC has found no wrongdoing despite the professor being captured on camera going out of his way to harass and intimidate USC students honoring the lives of innocent Palestinians killed by Israel,” Amr Shabaik, the legal director of CAIR-LA, said in a statement."

The campus Red Guard didn't get a scalp this time, but they've claimed others and will claim more in the future. They are "disappointed" because they've been trained by a supine and complicit administrative class to believe that any cries of harm! supposedly on behalf of the "marginalized" will always be met with the full force of the managerial state.

The admins here didn't suddenly grow a spine or change their WHO/WHOM belief system, they just knew that their turning a blind eye to Jew hate has caused them too many headaches recently and the prof was lucky enough to have the full encounter taped.

Don't imagine that there's any daylight between the admin class and their Red Guard infant brigade, they have flourished through a symbiotic parasitical dynamic where every tantrum creates more admins who create more perpetually aggrieved activist pseudo-students.

The American liberal class has revealed themselves to be spineless cowards who support a theocratic death cult over liberal civilization and who will submit to any behavior (including their own public humiliations) as long as they agree with the cause and as long as this saves their careers. Their day of reckoning has not arrived, but it's come closer.

Dan Schnur, writing for Jewish Journal (Justice Needed at USC):

"USC’s leaders cannot erase the damage that has been caused over the last seven months of John Strauss’ life. But they do owe him an apology, which is already long overdue."
